Service
availability of the facility regularly exceeds 99.9% thanks to
4,000 Amps of online battery backup and a 1,000 KVA diesel generator.
A raised floor supplies forced air cooling through a caged area
populated with locked cabinet racks.
Internet bandwidth is provided via redundant Gigabit ethernet
adapters with an uplink to multiple Tier-1 Internet backbone providers.
All network traffic is secured by a commercial grade firewall.
Dr.Backup uses highly-reliable HP Proliant servers with redundant power supplies and multiple fault-tolerant RAID storage arrays. Each array provides approximately
10 Terrabytes (TB) of high-speed disk storage - enough to support
hundreds of online backup clients. For added reliabilty, standard RAID fault tolerance
is augmented with hot-standby spare drives which
automatically activate should a physical disk failure be
detected. All disk drives are continuously monitored using predictive
failure technology.
Critical
server components are spared onsite and LightSpar technicians
are on call 24 by 7.
