Use of Public Cloud Storage to Help Reduce Backup Costs

Dr.Backup clients with large quantities of non-business critical data including: pictures, multimedia libraries, archives, and historical/regulatory records may be able to use a mixture of private and general-purpose public cloud storage to help reduce their overall backup costs.

By adding a public cloud storage adapter to the Data Warehouse service package, clients gain the ability to directly purchase discounted storage capacity from several public storage providers – and request their Dr.Backup service be configured to use that storage as a repository for static and non-business critical data.

This matrix is a basic feature/benefit comparison highlighting the service level differences between private and general-purpose public cloud storage. Contact Dr.Backup customer support if you have further questions about storage options.
