Today, for only the second time in the past 6 years, we are announcing a modest change to the base subscription price we charge for data protection services. Beginning on January 1, 2022, the following price schedule will be in effect:  http://drbackup.net/partner/DrBackup-Pricelist-Summary.pdf

We understand the last few years have been challenging for everybody – and as such, we believe that fee adjustments should be measured and thoughtful.

Here are some of the reasons why we are making these price changes now:

  1. We’ve seen a significant increase in the size of an average daily offsite backup – especially since the beginning of the global pandemic. This has led to unprecedented increases in bandwidth and resource utilization throughout our service network. We continue to make the ongoing capital improvement investments needed to keep everything running smoothly and without incident.
  2. There’s been an unprecedented rise in ransomware and other cyberattacks  that has required us to invest heavily in fortifying our network. We’ve also implemented critical security enhancements to your backup software. These efforts help us to better protect you against cyber-threats you don’t even see.
  3. To meet the increased support requirements of our business clients, we have added service personnel to our staff. This enables us to answer over 98% of business-hour phone calls LIVE – meaning your data recovery and other support requests are handled faster.

As a team, we decided that in order to continue providing you with quality products and services, the only sustainable option was to pass along some of our increased operating costs to you at this time.
